Kelly A. Corcoran

Associate

Kelly Corcoran joined Kerr & Wagstaffe LLP as an associate in 2009. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in individual and class action matters. Her practice primarily involves consumer rights, employment litigation, and victims’ rights.

Prior to joining Kerr & Wagstaffe LLP, Ms. Corcoran was a Research Fellow for the Public Law Research Institute at University of California Hastings College of the Law. She assisted with researching, drafting, and editing published reports exploring state environmental justice initiatives and surveying state regulation of oil fields. Kelly has also been an active volunteer for the Bar Association of San Francisco.

Ms. Corcoran graduated with honors from Hastings, where she was made a member of the Thurston Society. During law school, Kelly served as a judicial extern for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, Pro Se Department, where she worked on habeas corpus and prisoner civil rights cases. She was also an intern in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, assisting with both litigation and advice to various city departments. As a student, Ms. Corcoran represented clients in wage and hour and social security disability benefits cases through Hastings’ Civil Justice Clinic. She also worked as a research assistant for Professor Mark Aaronson, was a teaching assistant in legal writing for first-year law students, and served as a tutor for the Hastings Academic Support Program.
