Cheryl Lema Mackey

Associate

Cheryl represents individuals, businesses, and public entities in a wide variety of matters, including complex civil litigation and class actions.

Cheryl received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2010. While in law school, she served as an Executive Board Member and Senior Articles Editor for the Constitutional Law Quarterly Journal, and was academic chair for the La Raza Law Students’ Association. She also served as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s office in San Francisco and for the Judiciary Committee of the California Assembly.

Prior to joining Kerr & Wagstaffe, Cheryl worked as a Research Fellow for Hastings, where she conducted research for the UCSF-UC Hastings Consortium on Law, Science & Health Policy. Before entering law school, Cheryl assisted with the creation and development of two non-profit programs for at-risk youth, College Foundation Semester and College Bound Scholars, both in connection with Las Positas College in Livermore, California, and continued to coordinate the programs through her time at Hastings.

Cheryl is admitted to practice law in all state courts in California and in federal district court for the Northern District of California. She is also a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
