Cherokee represents individuals, businesses, and public entities in a wide variety of matters, including complex civil litigation and class actions, in both state and federal court.

Her practice includes employment discrimination, wage and hour, defamation, business disputes, and municipal law.

Law Related Work Experience

While at the University of Michigan Law School, Cherokee represented clients in individual and class actions in state and federal court, in areas ranging from immigration, civil rights, and criminal law. She was a research and teaching assistant under Professor Philip Frost and she served as an Assistant Editor and a Contributing Editor of the law school’s Journal of Law Reform. During law school, Cherokee spent her summers representing clients in class action civil rights lawsuits. She was named a Dean’s Public Service Fellow and was honored with the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award.

Following law school, Cherokee served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marc L. Goldman, United States Magistrate Judge for the Central District of California.

Cherokee is admitted to practice law in all state courts in California and in federal district court for the central and northern districts of California.
